Texas Women in Trades

What is Texas Women in Trades?

Texas Women in Trades (TWIT) is an organization geared towards recruiting young people, women and minorities to the trades. Through strategic planning, TWIT connects with similar organizations to maximize resources and on a local, state and national platform.

In 2012, 53% of skilled trade workers were 45 years or older. As our economy struggles, these economy proof careers offer young people, women and minorities opportunities to earn money while learning a lifelong, lucrative trade.

Building strong relationships with similar groups to provide women with the ability to share, mentor and improve with other women in the trades.
